Sandra Perakis is a late-blooming screenwriter whose storytelling emerged after two full careers — first in hospital administration, where she witnessed the fragility and resilience of human life, and later in horticulture, where she came to understand the quiet intelligence of growth, seasons, and renewal.
After retiring to Crete with her husband to his ancestral homeland, she found herself surrounded by ancient ruins, mountain winds, and the endless horizon of the Mediterranean. In that landscape — where myth and memory coexist — a long-held creative calling awakened.
Her stories move between Korea, Crete, Vienna, and the United States, exploring cross-cultural love, generational legacy, grief, healing, and the unseen threads that bind lives across continents. Blending psychological depth with emotional lyricism, she writes character-driven dramas shaped by fate, coincidence, and the subtle mystique of the universe.
As an emerging voice later in life, Sandra embraces the belief that stories — like seeds — bloom in their own time.
Originally from Paris, France, Jean-François Cavelier has more than 30 years' experience in domestic and international film sales and distribution. He is known among his peers for his strong communication skills and for his relationship-building ability. He held the position of Domestic & International Distribution Consultant for Comerica Bank (Los Angeles), Liberty International (Los Angeles), Pueblo (Geneva, Switzerland), and Syrena (Warsaw, Poland).
Cavelier has been active over the past twenty years in the acquisition and production of media content in Mainland China, Latin America, and Europe as well as in the distribution of Hollywood content to the global markets. He also acted as a producer for the biggest budget feature film ever produced in China, Air Strike, a WW2 epic film, negotiating the hiring of Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson respectively as Lead Actor and Consultant to the Chinese Director. Recently, Cavelier was an Executive Producer of Wonders of the Sea, a feature documentary narrated by Arnold Schwarzenegger and directed by Jean-Michel Cousteau. He is active in the protection of the environment and marine sustainability through the documentary films he represents.
With his production company Gallico Media, LLC, Cavelier is currently co-producing a feature film adaptation of a James Ellroy's novel and is executive producing a Balboa Productions (Stallone's company) motion picture based on the Chuck Dixon's graphic novel "Something Big".
A producer and screenwriter specialising in development consulting, she works at the intersection of creativity and finance, collaborating with global filmmakers, financiers, distributors, and VFX studios, all striving to bring the next standout film or series to life. With experience as a creative writer in marketing, she has skills in storytelling for most if not all platforms, which enhanced her ability to create and spot a great story for the masses. More recently, she was the Head of Story Development at Black Deer Entertainment, where she oversaw the development of international projects through to pre-production, working closely with writers, filmmakers, and creative partners to shape projects from early-stage concepts into production-ready stories. Now, as a professional writer and film producer with an MA in Screenwriting, she has strengthened her instinct for effective storytelling and a genuine passion for helping people get their stories told.
